Hello Gents,
Welcome to the SCSOS weekly newsletter.
Firstly let me acknowledge our main sponsors: Amalgamated Pests, www.amalpest.com.au. Amalgamated Pests are the major sponsor of the Sunshine Coast Masters Football Tournament. Phone Ian Marks on 13 19 61 for all your pest control needs.
With some unusual results and shocks what a night it was last night!. Read on for the exciting story. Next week the showcase will be the Premiership strugglers, well not after last nights show!, Hoopfulls vs third place Wallsend Boys. This weeks “know the rules” continues the use of floaters rules: Floaters are to register their attendance on the night at the desk where their name is added to the floaters list kept at the desk. Any teams wishing to use a floater will then approach the desk where the name on the top of the list will be the floater that the team requesting the floater uses for their game. If a team wishes to recruit a floater to their roster of players they may do so as long as their quota of 9 players is not breached. This floater will then become a full registered player. The floater can play as many games as he wishes on the night.
In the Premiership, for the first time this season Bingera didn’t win, they were held to a 2 all draw by Wallsend Boys. Advisers maintain their second place with a 1 all draw against Amalgamated Pests. Seven Bellies remain fourth after beating Special Brew 4 – 2. Wurdafugawee relinquished fifth place to Amalgamated Pests after they were thrashed 7 – 1 by Hoopfulls.
There were no changes in the Champions Division even though none of the top four teams won last night. Still at the top, Yeahpoint lost 4 – 1 to Antikes. Cripple Palace lost 3 – 2 to Oldanunathletic. Commical Bank drew 0 – 0 against Flight Centre and Real Bellies beat The Beat 3 – 2.
The First Div yo-yo continued last night, Stingers who last week jumped from third to top dropped to second place after losing 3 – 1 to the SOB’s who elegantly slipped into top spot, and they were fourth 2 weeks ago!. MPFC stayed third beating Accord 1 – 0. The Legends swapped places with Fulchester United to claim fourth spot after flogging them 8 – 3.
No changes again in the Second Division even after Boca Seniors winning the top of the table clash 3 – 0. They move to one point behind De-Rangers. Strollers beat The Dribblers 4 – 0 to maintain third place. SFI had a one all draw with Arthritico Buderim.
OK folks, that’s all for now,
See you next Wednesday for Round 10.
